I want to work at Inmarsat. How do I find out what vacancies are available?

All open opportunities at Inmarsat are listed in the job search section of our careers website. You also have the option of refining your search based on job location or keywords.

Can I search for open roles at Inmarsat outside of the UK?

Yes you can. All of our roles across the globe will be available to view on our careers site. You can find them by using the job search or by viewing our locations.

Will my CV actually be reviewed by a human or AI?

Human! Every single application across all of our global locations will be reviewed by one of our resourcing business partners. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive a response to let you know whether you have been successful or unsuccessful.

How do I know if you have received my application?

After you have completed the application process, you will receive an automated email response confirming receipt of your application. In line with our corporate values we respect everybody who takes the time to apply for opportunities at Inmarsat. You can also track the status of your application online independently by logging in to your account.

Is it a lengthy recruitment process at Inmarsat?

We do not have lengthy recruitment processes at Inmarsat. On average there will be two rounds of interviews per role. This may change for certain positions but our resourcing business partners will make you aware of this from the outset. How do I know I’m part of a fair and unbiased process?

Inmarsat is an equal opportunities employer and we are committed to a fair and inclusive hiring process. Your CV will be reviewed against the requirements of the role as well as local market regulations and labour laws.

I was not hired for a specific job. Will I be considered for other jobs at Inmarsat in the future?

Yes. Your profile will be kept on file and should other opportunities become available then you will be visible to our resourcing business partners. However, we also recommend that you register for job alerts and apply to roles that you’re interested in as this will help keep your details updated with us in line with GDPR.

​​​​Does Inmarsat provide help in doing relevant study next to my job?

In line with our desire to see our people move around internally, those who want to stay in their current role but to grow and become more experienced via a professional qualification or receive specific training will be supported. Alongside your manager, a member of our learning and development team will be on hand to assist you in finding that course to help with your professional development. We also have a large number of online self-service training sessions that you can access at any time should you need a refresher in a particular area of knowledge.

Early careers FAQ

When does your Technology and Engineering programme open and close for applications?

Typically we open early spring. As our intake is small we tend to only keep the vacancy open for a short period, sometimes re-opening over the summer should we need to.

Do you require a certain number of UCAS points or minimum degree classification to apply?

For our Technology and Engineering programme, you will require a minimum 2.1 degree to apply. For other programmes the requirements will vary dependant on the role –  please look at the job description for this detail.

Do you offer opportunities for further study and career progression?

Absolutely. We actively encourage our workforce to develop their skills, join professional bodies and progress.
